What is the NPNY mailing list?
If you are a Prince Fan/Friend/Enthusiast, or just down for whatever Prince related, this mailing list is for you. We tend to go off topic from time to time, but its all good. You have to realize sometimes that we are all people too and Prince isn’t the only thing in our life. Although for some it may seem like. So if you want to go off topic and talk about something that is on your mind by means, go ahead! There are a lot of cool supportive people on the NPNY mailing list that want to talk to you.
Why was the NPNY mailing list created?
This mailing list was created to support the New Power New York group effort to keep in touch with each other and keep it FUNKY!!
Who is this Moderator/Derek guy that keeps adding his 2 cents in every message?
That would be Derek, our moderator. This is a moderated list. He attempts to control the peace. He does his best to answer any questions that you may have while throwing in a dose of his sarcastic brand of witticism in from time to time. He is also know to the sexy people as as Mr. Moderator ;-)
What are the rules?
There are just a couple please be considerate and abide by them…

1. Do not type your whole entire email in CAPITAL LETTERS. In netiquette this considered yelling and is really rude and can be frustrating to read. If we see any posts in Caps they will be deleted no matter who it's from or how important it may have been.

2. Formatted text, HTML, Pictures and Stationary are not allowed on the mailing list. We know you all like to do tricks and send your messages in special formatting and such, but unfortunate that stuff doesn't work well with a majordomo list server and get spit out as gibberish to me. So please shut off all your favorite features on your favorite email client because it doesn't work here.

3. Do not, and we repeat DO NOT!! send subscription request to the mailing list. They will be deleted without a second thought. If you are having problems subscribing or unsubscribing send Derek a personal email at visionex@panix.com. He will be more then happy to help you out.

That is pretty much it. That was pretty easy don't you think? So have fun and remember, "to do on to others as you would have them do on to you"....
